• CAC
  The Common Access Card is a specific version of the Personal Identity Verification (PIV) card used by the U.S. Department of Defense.

  A small software add-on that adds specific functionality to a browser, enhancing or customizing its capabilities.

• PIV
  Personal Identity Verification is a United States federal standard for secure and reliable forms of identification issued by the government to federal employees and contractors. It is specified in the National Institute of Standards and Technology's (NIST) Special Publication series, NIST SP 800-73.

• Token
  A physical device, such as a smart card or USB key, that securely stores certificates, cryptographic keys and credentials used for authentication, digital signing, and encryption tasks.
