Custom Fields

Custom fields are a brilliant way to customize your visitor information process and capture the exact information that you need at check-in, no matter how niche it is. In this guide, find out how to integrate custom fields in your workflow to create your own data collection points.

Configure Custom Fields for Visitors and Identities

This section explains how to add custom field(s) for visitors and identities (employees).

All visitor custom fields will be applied during the check-in process so that a VMO can gather additional information from visitors.

Identity (employee) custom fields will be added in the Identity Record > Custom Fields tab to capture the exact information of an identity.

Add Custom Fields

  1. From the App Launcher, select the Admin application and click on the Custom Fields tab.

  2. Click ADD to add a new custom field.

  3. In the General sub-tab, add the name of the new custom field to be introduced. In addition to the name, the following fields are required:

    1. Status: Active.

    2. Applies to: Depending on the requirement, set as visitor or identity.

      1. If set to Visitor, the custom field is applicable for a visitor. If set to Identity, the custom field is applicable for an employee.

    3. Field Type: Depending on the requirement, the field can be a date selector, drop down or a text field.

    4. Based on the field type selected, additional fields may be required to ensure validation.

  4. Once the information is added, click SAVE.
