Set the Mini Token PIN Policy
Set the Mini Token PIN Policy BEFORE you import any Mini Tokens into the AAA Server.
- Select Tools, then click Options.

Select the Security tab and then click Mini Token PIN Policy.

Select the PIN position:

No PIN - this means the user is not required to enter a PIN. Only the One-Time Password generated by the device can be used for authentication.
Note: Selecting No PIN also disables the Web Help Desk ‘Set PIN’ function. - PIN After OTP - this means the user is required to enter a PIN after they have entered a One-Time Password generated by the device.
- PIN Before OTP - this means the user is required to enter a PIN before they enter a One-Time Password generated by the device.

Set the Minimum PIN length.
The range is 4 to 16 characters. The default is 4.

Set the Maximum PIN length.
The range is 4 to 16 characters. The default is 8.
- To set a default PIN code, select Use Default PIN until device specific PIN is defined.

Enter the default PIN in the Default PIN Value field.
The default PIN is accepted during authentication until a user defines a specific PIN for the Mini Token.

To ensure that the operator defines a specific PIN during the Mini Token assignment process, select Set PIN at assignment.
When this option is set, operators are prompted to set the PIN when assigning a Mini Token to a user.
Note: Web Self Help Desk: If neither PIN option is selected or if the Accept Default PIN... is selected, the user is prompted to set his or her Mini Token PIN at logon.
If the Mini Token is unassigned from the user, the PIN is reset and the device is disabled. A new device owner must define their own PIN. - Click OK to apply the settings.
