AAA Server Deployment Scenarios

The AAA Server allows the definition of multiple authentication server deployments that can be managed from a single administration console. Based on the authentication requirements, the individual server deployments can be dedicated to a specific user population or shared by a roaming user population.

The two scenarios addressed in this section focus on the server-side deployment of the AAA Server authentication solution.

• Standalone Server - a single authentication server.
• Two Servers in Backup Mode - the replication of the primary server to create an identical backup.
