Administration Console Menus

The AAA Server Administration Console has a main menu bar, an icon toolbar, and a device filter bar at the top of the display window. It has a main console screen display to the right and an AAA Server tree displayed in the pane to the left.

Depending on the functionality selected in the tree in the pane to the left, the console display, the display of icons, menu bar, toolbar, and device filter bar varies.

Note: The functions you can select from the tree to the left of the console depend on your console rights (Administrator, Device Manager, Help Desk user, or Audit Manger). For more information, see Administration Console Users.

The menus provide quick links to main functions that you can access from the tree to the left of the console.

Device Filter Bar

Use the device filter bar to filter the number and type of devices displayed in the console (useful if you have 1000's, or even 100's of devices).

Filter option Description

#Devices

Use this field to enter the maximum number of devices that the console displays.

Device drop-down list

Use this list to specify the type(s) of devices to be displayed.

Select Range

To filter the display, select Serial Number Range or Date Range. Then, use the From and To fields to set the filter by serial number or date.

Status

To filter the display by device status, select All, Available, or Assigned.

Refresh

To refresh the device display in the console using the current device filter bar criteria, click the Refresh button. You must click this button in order to apply any new settings that you make in the device filter bar (so that the screen displays only the devices that match your current query request).

Change the Icon Display

Select any icon from the display in the pane at the top of the Administration Console. It does not matter which function you are using at the time, as long as there are icons displayed in the pane at the top of the console.

From the pop-up menu, select Display to choose from the following options:

  • List - displays small devices in a list format in the pane at the top of the console.
  • Report - when you are working with devices, displays reports on devices, initialization dates, and PIN codes in the pane at the top of the console.
  • Small icon - reduces the size of the icon in the display.
  • Big icon - enlarges the size of the device icon in the display (default setting).
