Installing ActivID ActivClient

This section explains how to install ActivID ActivClient (referred to as ActivClient) locally.

• Install the ActivClient on a clean windows workstation (fresh installation) using the ActivClient setup.

• Before you install/uninstall/upgrade the ActivClient, you must remove your smart card from the smart card reader.

• Windows local administrative privileges or domain administrative privileges are required to install/uninstall the ActivClient.

• Close all opened applications before you install or uninstall the ActivClient.

• Do not install another application while using the ActivClient setup.

• ActivClient installer installs files/folders with the required permissions.

• Install the ActivClient 7.4.1 and a hot fix with a single step using the batch file available in the ActivClient disc.
