Upgrading ActivID ActivClient
ActivClient 7.4.3 setup allows you to upgrade automatically from the following versions:
-
ActivClient 7.2.1 (64-bit edition)
-
ActivClient 7.2.2 (64-bit edition)
-
ActivClient 7.3 (64-bit edition)
-
ActivClient 7.3.1 (64-bit edition)
-
ActivClient 7.4 (64-bit edition)
-
ActivClient 7.4.1 (64-bit edition)
The ActivClient setup automatically detects the previous versions 7.2.1 or later (64-bit edition) and performs the upgrade. You do not need to uninstall the previous version.
Due to the deprecation of Visual Basic Script (VBScript) starting with Windows 11, version 24H2, upgrading ActivID ActivClient 7.4.3 itself to a higher version on this and later Windows versions may encounter issues. To avoid problems with upgrading ActivClient caused by the VBScript deprecation, we recommend to uninstall your current version before upgrading to a higher one. For more details, refer to Troubleshooting Uninstallation of ActivClient After Deprecation of Visual Basic Script.
