Upgrading ActivID ActivClient
The ActivClient setup allows you to upgrade seamlessly from previous versions starting with 7.4.1 or later (64-bit edition); it automatically detects the version installed and performs the upgrade. You do not need to uninstall the previous version.
Due to the deprecation of Visual Basic Script (VBScript) starting with Windows 11, version 24H2, upgrading ActivID ActivClient 7.4.1 or 7.4.3 to a higher version on this and later Windows versions may encounter issues. To avoid problems with upgrading ActivClient caused by the VBScript deprecation, we recommend to uninstall the old version before upgrading to ActivClient 8.3. For more details, refer to Troubleshooting Uninstallation of Older ActivClient Versions After Deprecation of Visual Basic Script.
