Enable LDAP Fallback/Passthrough for an LDAP User

In order for a user to authenticate to ActivID Appliance using their LDAP password, you can create a specific authenticator called “LDAP Fallback/Passthrough”.

Note: Alternatively, you can create this authenticator automatically for all users authenticating on a specific channel by enabling LDAP Fallback for the channel. For further information, see Configure Authentication Channels.
  1. In the user’s Details page, select the Wallet tab.

  2. Click Enable LDAP Fallback/Passthrough.

  3. From the drop-down list, select the required Authentication Policy and click Next.

  4. Configure the Authentication Policy parameters, and then click Save.

The LDAP Fallback/Passthrough feature is enabled.

  5. Click Save.
