Default Configuration for Transaction Validation via SMS

By default, the ActivID Appliance dataset includes the following configuration for transaction validation via SMS. These elements can be also be customized if required.

Authentication Policy – SMS Transaction OOB (AT_TXOOB)

Note: In the Constraints tab, the Challenge timeout period (s) parameter can be used to set the validity period of the OTP (generated with a challenge).

By default, the timeout is set to 180 seconds.

Credential Type – SMS OOB Transaction Validation (CT_TXOOB)

Note: The Validity period (seconds) parameter is the validity of the credential. By default, it is set to -1 (meaning it never expires (until  2500/12/31)). As the OOB credential for transaction validation is to be generated once, and used for generating transaction validation codes at each SCIM API DELIVER-CHALLENGE call, it must have a long lifetime. This is unlike traditional OOB credentials that need to be regenerated each time an activation code is used.

Device Type – SMS Transaction OOB (DT_TXOOB)
