Reset the Challenge Counter

The Challenge Counter/Maximum is the maximum number of challenges that can be issued for an authentication record of this policy without submission of a valid response. Once this threshold has been reached, the counter must be reset before a challenge is issued.

The value of the Challenge disable threshold is set in the Authentication policy.

When the Challenge Counter reaches the maximum allowed for challenge requests, then the authenticator is blocked and indicated with a red icon .

  1. Follow the steps in Search for Users to search for the user.

  2. In the user’s Details page, select the Wallet tab.

  3. Under Authentication Records, select the record for which you want to reset the challenge counter.

  4. Select the Statistics tab to view the Challenge Counter.

  5. Select the record’s first tab.

  6. Click Reset Challenge Counter.

  7. A success message is displayed, and the challenge counter is reset.
