Configuring Thales SafeNet / Thales TCT Luna HSMs for Use with ActivID CMS

This section explains how to configure Thales^® (formerly Gemalto^®) SafeNet^® HSMs (network and PCIe models) and Thales Trusted Cyber Technologies (Thales TCT) (formerly SafeNet AT) HSMs for Government (network and PCIe models) for use with ActivID CMS.

This information is not intended to replace the Thales or Thales TCT vendor documentation. The intent of this section is to provide guidance on how to use the Thales and Thales TCT HSMs and their accessories with the HID Global solution.

This section presents the sequence of operations required to set up the Thales and Thales TCT HSMs for use with the ActivID Key Management System (KMS) (and later with ActivID CMS). ActivID KMS is a standalone product for which you can set up certain types of HSM without utility tools.
