Configuring ActivID CMS for PIV and CIV

This section explains how to configure ActivID CMS to issue test PIV, PIV-I and CIV-compliant smart cards.

If you are planning to issue PIV Personal Identity Verification (technical standard of "HSPD-12") or PIV-I Personal Identity Verification - Interoperable cards, read the introductory sections of the HID ActivID Credential Management System PIV Toolkit Integration Guide for information about the PIV/PIV-I system architecture and how it integrates with Identity Management System (IDMS) -- this is not required for CIV Commercial Identity Verification, which does not require any IDMS integration.
