ActivID Credential Management System v5.10

ActivID CMS 5.10 for Windows provides the following improvements to the previous version:

  • Java applets removal - Java and modern browsers removed support for Java applets. That support is also removed from ActivID CMS, starting with ActivID CMS 5.10.
    This includes:

    • The synchronization applet

    • The SecuGen biometric reader support

  • Support of JDK 17.

  • Browser support update: To align with Microsoft ending support for Microsoft Internet Explorer, ActivID CMS now supports only Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge – Internet Explorer is no longer supported.

  • Improved integration with IdenTrust CA - Starting with ActivID CMS 5.10, ActivID CMS will switch to the REST Representational State Transfer connector to communicate with the IdenTrust CA. When upgrading a ActivID CMS with an existing IdenTrust connection, the operator will have to update the configuration with access credentials to the IdenTrust REST API.

  • New Microsoft redistributables - Starting with ActivID CMS 5.10, ActivID CMS will switch to Visual C++ 2022 Runtime. The setup will install the redistributables if they are not already present. In that case, the machine may need to be restarted before using ActivID CMS.

  • Early access support for multiple devices per user – available for integration via REST Representational State TransferAPI In the context of ActivID CMS, an Application Programming Interface (API) is an external interface (for example, the CCM API) that makes it possible for applications not supported by HID Global to incorporate ActivID functionality. only, in test environments. Organizations are now able to issue several active devices to the same user (for example, a smart card and a USB key, with the same or different device profiles) with the encryption certificate shared between all devices.
