Prerequisites for Installing the Apache Server

You must meet the following prerequisites.

Generate the three certificates below for the Apache Server with the password set to hidglobal. (You may use another password, but this is the password we are using in the examples provided in this documentation).

• client.pfx

• root.cer

• server.pfx

For the client.pfx certificate, use the template “User” with the Administrator user. Make sure the Client Authentication Enhanced Key Usage and Private Key Exportable options are enabled for this certificate.

For the server.pfx certificate, duplicate the “Web Server” template. Make sure the Private Key Exportable and Server Authentication Enhanced Key Usage options are enabled. Set the name of this certificate to the name of the Apache server to be trusted (for example, Montana).
