Supported Cards and Devices
This section includes supported devices, identified by their ATR (Answer to Reset: Card Response in Contact Mode), as well as their corresponding supported profiles and their Secure Channel Protocol.
The Secure Channel Protocol (SCP) is a mechanism defined by GlobalPlatform to preserve a level of security on the communication channel between a card and an external entity. It provides an assurance during authentication and key exchange, and certifies the confidentiality and integrity of the messages exchanged.
Legacy smart card protocols such as SCP01 were based on DES and triple DES cryptography, now deprecated by NIST National Institute of Standards and Technology. The latest version of the GlobalPlatform Card Specification recommends the use of SCP03 based on the AES cryptography, as it is more secure. As a result, some profiles based on these protocols have been deprecated.
The custom ATR2Product.properties file needs to be created if it does not already exist. It is recommended to put only the modified entries in the custom ATR2Product.properties file, not all the entries.
