Configuring the HID PKI-as-a-Service Certificate Authority

This section describes how to configure the ActivID CMS Operator Portal for HID PKI-as-a-Service.

For detailed instructions on creating directories and CAs in ActivID CMS, refer to Procedures for Managing Directories and Procedures for Configuring Connections to Certificate Authorities.

  1. Log on to the ActivID CMS Operator Portal with an ActivID CMS Administrator certificate.

  2. Go to the Configuration tab, and then click Repositories.

  3. Click Add Certificate Authority.

  4. From the Provider drop-down list, select HID PKI-as-a-Service Certificate Authority.

  5. Click Submit.

  6. Enter a Name for the Certificate Authority.

  7. In the PKIaaS Server field, enter the PKIaaS hostname provided by HID PKI-as-a-Service.

  8. In the API key ID field, enter the ID of the API key provided by HID PKI-as-a-Service.

  9. In the API key password field, enter the API key password provided by HID PKI-as-a-Service.

  10. Click Test to verify the CA configuration.

  11. Click Create to apply your changes.
