Managing Devices
This section explains how to initialize, import, export, unlock, and delete devices.

From the navigation tree, you can access the main devices functionality – right-click on Devices and then click the appropriate command in the shortcut menu.

From the menu bar, you can access some of the same functions, plus additional devices functionality – from the Devices menu, click the appropriate command to:

Device Filter Toolbar
The Device Filter toolbar appears below the menu bar in the Console. It is used to filter the number and type of devices displaying in the Console (useful if you have thousands or even hundreds of initialized devices).

Displays the maximum number of devices the Console should display. |

Lists the types of devices to display. |
Select Range |
Filters the display. Note: Default setting is None. Select Serial Number Range or Date Range to filter the display. Then, use the From and To fields to set the filter by serial number or date. |
Refresh |
Refreshes the device display in the Console at any time using the current Device Filter toolbar criteria. You must click Refresh to apply any new settings you make in the Device Filter toolbar (so that the screen displays only the devices that match your current query request). |
Device Icons
Devices available in the system are represented by the following icons, highlighted with the corresponding profile when applicable (AT ActivID Time-Based is a proprietary Triple Data Encryption Standard (3DES) algorithm with the time as a variable., AE ActivID Event-Based is a proprietary Triple Data Encryption Standard (3DES) algorithm with the event or counter as a variable., OT OATH Time-Based is a standard algorithm, based on the RFC6238, with the time as a variable., OE OATH Event-Based is a standard algorithm, based on the RFC4226, with the event or counter as a variable., or OCRA OATH challenge-response algorithm).

During initialization, the Device Initialization Tool sets the device type value for the device (for example, 1122).
If an OCRA application is present on the device, the device type value corresponds to the value in the OATH column of the table below (even if other applications exist).
The following table lists the device type values set during initialization.
