Configure Logging

  1. From the Tools menu, click Options.

Note: Starting with version 4.1, a Security tab is available which provides additional settings.

  1. Under Log and traces, in the Path field, specify the directory location for the error log file and the debug trace file.

  2. Under Error log, in the Maximum size field, set the file size so that the log will be large enough to capture information you might need to review.

    Set the file size large enough to be useful, but not so large as to impact the Device Initialization Tool system performance. (Only you can estimate the log file size based on your company organization, the number of people using devices, your security policies).
