Configure Security Settings

Note: These settings are available with version 4.1 and higher.

  1. From the Tools menu, click Options, then go to the Security tab.

  1. Under Export CSV Files, you can uncheck the Encrypted ZIP file CSV format option (not recommended from a security perspective) if you do not want to automatically export CSV files using an encrypted 7-zip file.

    2. Note: For security reasons, this option is checked by default. If this option is not checked, the CSV files are exported with the .csv extension and there is no change to the data format.

  2. Under Exported Devices, you can uncheck the Deleted Devices Exported option (not recommended from a security perspective) if you want to keep the deleted devices in the database. You can also uncheck the Devices PIN Exported option if you do not want to export the Initial PIN The Personal Identification Number (PIN) code used to access a device’s services. Devices can only be used after a correct PIN is entered. of the device automatically with the exported devices (PIN exported in PSKC File Format – RFC6030).

    Note: For security reasons, the Deleted Devices Exported option is checked by default. The Devices PIN Exported option is also checked by default.
