Check the Status of Validation Authority

Validation Authority provides a web-based method of monitoring the status of the Validation Authority server and critical components. You can use this feature in conjunction with third-party monitoring systems to ensure that you are notified of system failures.

To check the status of Validation Authority, use a web browser to connect to the URL http://server:3501/monitor.jsp. For example, enter http://localhost:3501/monitor.jsp. The following results might appear:

• STATUS OK - The server, HSM, and database are operating correctly.

• STATUS ERROR No controller set, system initialization failed - There is a problem with Validation Authority configuration that prevented Validation Authority from starting successfully.

• STATUS ERROR Security error performing HSM test: exception message - There is a problem with the HSM configuration or the connection to the HSM.

• STATUS ERROR A database error occurred: exception message - There is a problem with the database configuration or the connection to the database.
