Configuring the Validation Authority
This chapter describes how to configure the ActivID Validation Authority product. Additional configuration activities require the use of the Validation Authority Management Console described in the Configure Data section of Management Console.
For detailed information on how a production deployment differs from an evaluation deployment, refer to the Production Considerations section.
The configuration process initializes the Validation Authority configuration files to use the desired keystore and database. The configuration process then initializes the database and creates an initial administrative user account for accessing the Validation Authority Management Console.
You will need to use the Configuration Utility for the initial configuration after installation. You may also use the Configuration Utility at any time later if you want to change any Validation Authority configuration.
