Create the Configuration
The Validation Extension Management Console can be used to create two types of customization packages: installer customizations and settings installers.
Installer customization packages are Windows Installer Transforms (.mst files) used at installation time to specify customizations to the default Validation Extension installer. These customizations include the inclusion or exclusion of optional program features (such as the Validation Test Tool), the inclusion of pre-configured default settings, and the enablement or disablement of Validation Extension Management Console tabs.
Settings installers are pre-configured settings packages (.msi files) used to distribute settings to computers on which the Validation Extension is already installed.
To create a customization so that it can be deployed on additional servers, complete the following steps:
-
Open the Management Console.
-
Use the Management Console to specify the options to be used in the customization package.
-
Click Apply to save the changes.
