Known Issues and Limitations
CAPI Plug-in Unregistered
While upgrading the OS, the CAPI plug-in gets unregistered from the ActivID Desktop Validation Client application automatically. So, after upgrading the OS, register the CAPI plugin again using the ActivID Desktop Validation Client Management Console before proceeding with the normal operation.
Revocation Status Checking with Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader
Adobe® Acrobat® and Adobe® Acrobat® Reader use an internal OCSP client to perform certificate revocation status check. It can be configured to use Microsoft CAPI to check revocation status by adding a registry entry.
When installing the ActivID Desktop Validation Client, the installer will create required registry entries if Adobe® Acrobat® or Adobe® Acrobat® Reader is already installed.
To update the registry entry manually, execute ActivIDAcrobatCAPIFix.reg, included with the Desktop Validation Client under Acrobat Registry Fix directory.
