Reset Appliance to Factory Defaults
Before you reset the Validation Responder Appliance to factory default settings, you must create a configuration bundle to back up your customized configuration settings.
This enables you to apply the existing configuration bundle to restore the Validation Responder Appliance configuration.
Use the Validation Responder Appliance console configuration interface to restore the Validation Responder Appliance to factory default configuration. If you restore the Validation Responder Appliance to factory defaults, then all the configuration settings made during the initial configuration process and by using the Validation Responder Appliance Management Console will be removed.
-
After you reset the Validation Responder Appliance to factory default configuration, you will be prompted to perform initial configuration again (Refer to Perform Initial Configuration).
-
The Validation Responder Appliance does not have a root password until after you perform initial configuration. For security reasons, do not leave the Validation Responder Appliance powered on in this state.
