Proxy
The Validation Responder can access HTTP resources through a proxy server. If your network uses a proxy server for HTTP traffic, then you can configure HTTP proxy support.
-
If your network environment requires the use of a proxy server, then enter the Proxy Server hostname and Port on which the proxy server is listening for HTTP request. If a proxy server is not required, then leave the proxy server field blank.
-
If the proxy server requires client authentication, then select the Authentication Required option.
-
Enter the User Name and Password.
The User Name and Password are used to authenticate to the proxy server. This property is used only if you selected the Authentication Required option.
If you specify a proxy password, then it will be stored scrambled in a configuration file. If you choose to leave the proxy password empty, then you will be prompted to enter it each time the Validation Responder is started.
