Introduction

This release of the Mini Driver is designed for the HID Crescendo 2300 – Standard Profile and HID Crescendo Key – Standard Profile and is a key component of the HID logical and physical access convergence solution.

Crescendo devices include a PKI chip that provides extended cryptographic capabilities, expanding the number of supported services:

  • Authenticate to Microsoft Windows (online or offline).

  • Authenticate to secure web sites.

  • Authenticate to remote networks via a VPN.

  • Authenticate to remote sessions authentication.

  • Sign emails, forms and documents.

  • Encrypt emails, documents and disks.

The Mini Driver also enables users to personalize their devices by:

  • Defining a PIN code.

  • Importing certificates.
