Changing the PIN Code Using Microsoft Windows
You can change the PIN code using tools specific to your operating system. The procedure described here refers to Microsoft Windows 10.
On Microsoft Windows 10, use the Change Password option from the CTRL+ALT+DEL feature to change the PIN as follows:
- Enter the current PIN code in the PIN field (the default PIN code is 00000000).
- Enter and confirm the new PIN code, and then click the arrow (or press Enter).
The new PIN code must meet the PIN policy:- PIN is 6 to 8 digits long.
- Weak PIN values are not allowed (a PIN is considered weak if the difference between consecutive characters is fixed – for example, 123456 or 87654321 are considered to be weak PINs).
- Click OK to return to your Windows session.
