Changing the PIN Code Using Microsoft Windows

You can change the PIN code using tools specific to your operating system. The procedure described here refers to Microsoft Windows 10 and newer.

Note: The default PIN code is 000000 (six zeros), and the new PIN code must meet the security requirements of your organization.

On Microsoft Windows 10 and newer, use the Change Password option from the CTRL+ALT+DEL feature to change the PIN as follows:

  1. Enter the current PIN code in the PIN field (the default PIN code is 000000).
  2. Enter and confirm the new PIN code, and then click the arrow (or press Enter).
    The new PIN code must meet the PIN policy:
