Workflow 4: Deleting a Slot Configuration

You can delete the configuration for any configured Slot. After deleting the Slot configuration, the Slot can be configured again.

The following steps describe the process to delete a slot configuration and return it to its default, unconfigured state:

1. Select the slot you want to delete (for details, see Selecting a Crescendo Key Application Type and Slot).

2. From the Slot Configuration screen, click the Delete button:

   

2. The confirmation dialog appears. To cancel the operation, click Cancel. To complete the Slot configuration deletion, click the Yes button:

   

3. When the deletion operation completes, a success message appears in the upper-right corner of the Crescendo Management Tool window. The Slot configuration is now deleted and ready to be reconfigured:

   

Important: If no slots are configured for an OTP, generating an OTP outside of the Crescendo Management Tool will not succeed. Slot 1 must be configured to generate OTPs outside of the Crescendo Management Tool. Configuring only Slot 2 and / or Slot 3 will not allow for an OTP to be generated by a button-press on the Crescendo Key device.
