Exporting a Certificate from a Populated Slot

In the following example, a certificate stored in a PKI certificate slot on a Crescendo device will be exported to the host computer’s file system. Generated, loaded, and imported certificates can each be exported. Importing or generating a new certificate irreversibly deletes any existing certificates in a slot so it is recommended to export the certificates you want to keep beforehand.

  1. To export an existing certificate from the Authentication PKI certificate slot, first select the Authentication certificate type. If a certificate was previously generated, loaded or imported in the slot, it is available for Export. (Empty slots do not display the Export option.) Then, locate and click the Export link:

  1. In the dialog that appears, choose a name and location for your exported certificate, and click Export a Certificate:

A copy of the exported certificate is now available in the host computer file system location you have chosen.
