Loading a Certificate for the Generated Key Pair

In the following example, we load the signed PEM or DER certificate file that is generated by a Certificate Authority server using a Certificate Signing Request (see Generating a Certificate Signing Request for more information). The loaded PEM or DER file is then loaded into the chosen slot using the key information that was generated during a previous Certificate Signing Request (as demonstrated in Generating a Certificate Signing Request).

  1. To load a PEM or DER certificate into the Authentication PKI certificate slot, select the Authentication certificate type and click the Load button:

  1. From the Load screen, click Browse to select your PEM or DER certificate file, then verify the file path shown is as desired. Then, click Submit:

  1. When prompted, enter the PIN for the Crescendo device, and click Submit:

    If the operation is successful, the new certificate is stored in the chosen PKI slot, and the success message is displayed:
