Resetting your Device

Warning! Performing a device reset permanently reverts your Crescendo device to its original factory state. Any configured Slots, Certificates, Management Keys and PIN values are permanently lost, and the device will need to be reconfigured before it is used again.
Important: After performing a device reset, the stored PIN value reverts to the default PIN value of 00000000 – eight zeros.

To reset your Crescendo device to its original state, perform the following steps:

  1. From the Crescendo Management Tool Home screen, locate and click on your inserted Crescendo device and click the Continue button:

  1. In the Applications screen, locate and click the Reset Device button:

  1. The confirmation dialog appears. Select the appropriate radio button to enter either the current PIN or Management Key value for your device and click the Submit button:

  1. If either the correct current PIN or correct current Management Key are entered, a success message appears in the upper-right corner of the Crescendo Management Tool window:
