About the DigitalPersona AD v4.2.0 Release

HID Global is pleased to announce the release of HID DigitalPersona v4.2.0, which includes security, flexibility, usability, and deployment enhancements.

As with every release, HID DigitalPersona continues to build on its reputation as a leading advanced multi-factor authentication solution that supports the widest array of authentication factors in the industry.

What’s New in the 4.2.0 Release

  • Added DigitalPersona policies management via ADMX files for Microsoft Entra ID deployment

  • Provides Web Access Management API for stakeholders to learn, test and enable quick development activities to utilize DigitalPersona REST API for user enrollment, authentication, and administration in their own applications

  • Support multiple RADIUS servers to address failover and load balancing capabilities

Improvements and Changes

  • Improved support for multi-interface contactless cards by allowing an administrator to specify the preferred technologies

  • Improved authentication options with recovery questions, such as answers uniqueness and a greater number of custom questions which can be used in dual language environment

  • The online version of DigitalPersona documentation is now available from the HID Global documentation portal and supports context-oriented links from DigitalPersona software

  • Updated product components for security fixes by replacing certain DigitalPersona web components and relaunching them using a modern development platform - Angular

  • Changed naming for FIDO-related authentication credentials, such as device-bound passkeys and synched passkeys, according to FIDO Alliance guidelines

  • Removed two deprecated features –DigitalPersona Application Portal and Biometric Tokenization Engine
