Configuring DigitalPersona and Cloud-Native Microsoft Entra ID

Important: This integration only applies to the DigitalPersona LDS solution.

If you are using the DigitalPersona AD solution, you must deploy the DigitalPersona LDS solution to leverage the Microsoft^® Entra^® ID integration.

Note: As of July 2023, Microsoft renamed Azure^® AD to Microsoft Entra ID. These integration instructions and illustrations refer to Azure AD but also apply to Entra ID.

In the cloud-native integration, Microsoft Entra ID is used as the fully cloud-based primary identity provider, without relying on a traditional on-premises Active Directory (AD).

It enables organizations to manage users, devices, and access entirely from the cloud.

You can deploy the DigitalPersona LDS solution in an Microsoft Entra ID environment by configuring the domain services and deploying the server on a virtual machine.

If you have a pure Microsoft Azure AD account, you can deploy the DigitalPersona Server in the cloud on Azure AD.

You can then install the DigitalPersona Workstation or Kiosk on client machines.
