System Requirements

The following section list the minimum requirements per product/component.

DigitalPersona LDS Server

  • Microsoft® Windows® Server (64-bit only) 2025, 2022, 2019, 2016

  • Microsoft Active Directory®

  • 25 MB disk space plus 5 KB per user

DigitalPersona LDS Workstation, Kiosk and Attended Enrollment

  • Operating Systems (64-bit only):

    • Microsoft Windows 11 and Windows 10 version 22H2 or later

    • Microsoft Windows Server 2025, 2022, 2019, 2016

    Note:

    • Microsoft Home editions, Windows 10 S and Windows 10 in S mode are not supported

    • Operating systems running on ARM processors are not supported

  • 100 MB disk space, 170 MB during installation

The following package is installed automatically by executable if not present, but must be installed manually when pushing MSI through GPO:

  • Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Update 3 Redistributable package

  • Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8

DigitalPersona Web Management Components

When all components are installed on the same machine as the DigitalPersona LDS Server, requirements are the same as the server plus:

  • Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8

  • Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS)

  • Microsoft .NET 8 and ASP.NET Core Hosting Bundle

  • Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Update 3 Redistributable package

To access the HID DigitalPersona Administration Console or HID DigitalPersona Enrollment from a device, either the DigitalPersona LDS Server or a DigitalPersona client must be installed on the device, and use one of the following supported web browsers, with JavaScript enabled:

  • Microsoft Windows - Microsoft Edge®, Google® Chrome®, Mozilla® Firefox®
