IDV User Administration Overview

Create a User Account, Reset a password, Delete a User Account and reset a QR code are all simple actions that are executed directly from your IDV dashboard page. Within a Merchant account, create sub-accounts for use cases that require different segmentation and/or risk tolerance thresholds. This document walks you through how to execute each of these actions. Access to specific app functionality is based on assigned user roles and permission levels per merchant and sub-account.

A Merchant account uses 9999 as the default account/location code. Accounts are distinguished by account/location, which may be included in the request header. If no account/location code is included with the request header, then transactions appear in the default account for the merchant.

  • User Account Admins cannot add merchant accounts, this action can be done by Master Admin in IDV Dashboard.

  • HID supports User Account Admin creation and PW resets. User Account Admins can build Master Admins, Supervisors, Admins, and Users but cannot create other User Account Admins.

The merchant account is the enterprise company account that holds all of the sub-accounts. For example, the enterprise company may have multiple branches or channels that require their own sub-account.

The code is used to differentiate between sub-accounts within a merchant account. Your Onboarding Manager can provide this code. For CFAir REST API-based submissions use Location code.
