Installing the Smart Data Bridge

This chapter describes how to install the HID Smart Data Bridge product.

The HID Smart Data Bridge is available as part of the HID Validation Authority, distributed via an electronic download.

Note: There are some superficial differences in appearance between Microsoft Windows and Linux installations. This chapter illustrates both installations, and also a command line installation.

Note: Java Development Kit OpenJDK 11.0.2/17.0.2 (from OpenJDK.org) or Oracle JDK 11.0.26/17.0.12 is required for the HID Smart Data Bridge installers and applications. Refer to Installing Smart Data Bridge for Windows and Installing Smart Data Bridge for Linux for more information.
