Enabling Deep Linking for Self Service Portal
This new feature greatly simplifies the new user to complete the on boarding process for HID Approve. Earlier, the on boarding process for new user requires multiple steps such as, first to download the HID Approve app, install it and then have to scan the QR code for activation.
Activation via Deep Link will ease this typical method of on boarding. First, it requires the user to scan QR code. Then it will check if the user has HID Approve app already installed on their device. Further action will be taken place automatically based on the below 2 cases:

If already installed, the app will immediately begin the activation process.

If not installed, the user will be redirected to the appropriate app store for their device and present the app. Right after the download and installation, the app will immediately begin the activation process.
In both the cases, there will be no additional action required from the user other than scanning the QR code.
This section takes you through the process of configuring Self Service Portal to handle deep linking.
Before you let user to use deep links, you must enable them by following below steps:

Click Settings in the left navigation bar to open the Settings page.

Click on Self Service Portal Configuration menu.

In the Self Service Portal Configuration page, switch the toggle button to On. This will enable deep link for HID Approve app.
What's Next?
When your user authenticates into Self Service Portal and select authentication method as HID Approve, user will be proceeded to scan QR code page. Up on scanning, the user will be seamlessly taken to the registration service within HID Approve app.
