Prerequisites

Your system must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • ActivClient is signed by an IdenTrust code signing certificate which may not be pre-installed on all Windows workstations. If your environment automatically receives the latest root certificates from Microsoft (most common scenario), then the IdenTrust code signing certificate will be trusted.

    • To verify, check that “IdenTrust Commercial Root CA 1” is present in “Trusted Root Certification Authorities” of the Certificate Store, and that the “code signing” property of IdenTrust Commercial Root CA 1 is enabled.

    • In the case of an interactive installation, if the workstation is connected to the Internet, the root certificate will be downloaded automatically, and the trust will be verified.

    • In other cases (workstation not connected to the Internet, ActivClient installed by push mechanism), administrators need to install the IdenTrust root certificate on the workstation prior to installing ActivClient. To download the latest root certificates from Microsoft, click here.

    • o If Microsoft does not provide the latest root certificates for your environment (Windows version no longer supported by Microsoft), you may also retrieve the root certificates directly from IdenTrust, click here.

  • You have access to ActivClient distribution through either the local drive or the network.

  • You have local administrative rights on your workstation.

  • Your workstation is configured with a supported operating system:

    • Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit edition) including the latest version 22H2

    • Microsoft Windows 11 (64-bit edition) including the latest version 23H2

    • Microsoft Windows Server 2016 (64-bit edition) including Server Core

    • Microsoft Windows Server 2019 (64-bit edition) including Server Core

    • Microsoft Windows Server 2022 (64-bit edition) including Server Core

Note: While x64 version of Microsoft Windows is supported, this is not extended to support of Windows IA-64 (Itanium) or Windows RT for tablets.
