Manage Perpetual Licenses
View the License Status
Using the ActivID Console, you can view the License Status for the appliance and configured domains.
Log on to the ActivID Console and, under Appliance in the left menu, select Licenses.
- Site ID – generated during setup and is unique to the deployment (that is, there is one Site ID per logical database installation).
- License Status:
- Feature Name – enables the ActivID Appliance to identify if the license is a user license that controls the number of first authenticators being created or a maintenance license that controls software updates. This is configured during the license generation process.
- 4T-USER – the feature name for User licenses
- 4T-MAINTENANCE – the feature name for Maintenance licenses
- Available Seats/Total Seats - number of seats remaining versus the total number of seats included in the license
- Start Date - date from with the current license is valid
- Next Renewal Date - date by which you must renew your Maintenance license
- Days Until Renewal - days remaining until you need to renew your Maintenance license
- Status – displays the status of the licenses:
User and Maintenance licenses:
- Licenses OK - status is displayed with an green icon
- Number of remaining seats is low – Less than 10% of seats left status is displayed with an orange icon
- Between user limit and 120% user limit – EXCEEDED status is displayed with a red icon
- Exceeded 120% user limit – EXPIRED status is displayed with a red icon
- No license found – License is missing status is displayed with a red icon
Maintenance licenses only:
- One month before the expiration date of last valid license – Renewal required status is displayed with an orange icon
- Feature Name – enables the ActivID Appliance to identify if the license is a user license that controls the number of first authenticators being created or a maintenance license that controls software updates. This is configured during the license generation process.

Per Domain License Usage – the number of licenses used (Registered Users) per configured domain.
In a Dual Mode deployment, the Site ID of the first appliance is automatically restored on the second appliance when you set it to Dual Mode.
Add Additional Licenses
You can add additional user and maintenance licenses by importing them as text files containing one or more license code(s) (one license code per line).
Download New Licenses
- Contact HID Global Customer Service to order the new license.

Log on to the ActivID Console and, under Appliance in the left menu, select Licenses.

Make a note of the displayed Site ID.

Follow the link in the email and navigate to the Entitlement Management System.

Log on using the EID or the product key included with the email.

Select the check box of the product to be activated, and then click Activate.

Enter the Site ID in the Usernode 1 info field.

Click Generate.

Save the license to a .txt file.
When ordering User or Maintenance licenses, you receive an email with a link to the Entitlement Management System.
