Procedure 1: Prepare the Device Issuance Station
In a default configuration, ActivID CMS relies upon the Secugen matcher (or Precise BioMatch™ ANSI 378 Runtime 1.1.1, depending on your hardware configuration) to perform fingerprint validation during smart card activation.
-
Install ActivID ActivClient on the Issuance station. For more information concerning the supported environment, refer to ActivID CMS System Environment.
Note: Starting with ActivID CMS 5.8, the ActivID ActivClient middleware is not required if using a Google Chrome™ or Microsoft Edge browser. For more details, refer to About Using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge Browsers. -
Install the required software for your biometric device:
-
If you are using the SecuGen Hamster device, install the SecuGen matcher and driver (you can download the driver from the SecuGen Web site www.secugen.com/download/drivers.htm).
-
If you are using the Precise Biometrics 200 MC / 250 MC, install the Precise BioMatch™ ANSI 378 Runtime 1.1.1 on the Issuance station and install the Precise BioMatch™ P200 series Driver.
If you are using Precise BioMatch™ Pro Toolkit 2.3.0, do not install version 1.1.1
