About ActivID Validation Client

ActivID Validation Client enables Windows applications that support the Microsoft® Cryptographic Application Programming Interface (CAPI) to validate the revocation status of digital certificates using Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) and Certificate Revocation Lists (CRLs).

CAPI is a component of Microsoft Windows that allows applications to perform data encryption and digital certificate validation operations. Many popular applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and Adobe Reader integrate CAPI to enhance their security features and ensure safe communications.

The ActivID Validation Client delivers real-time validation of PKI certificates and seamlessly integrates with both the ActivID Validation Authority and ActivID Validation Responder. Tailored for enterprises and government entities utilizing PKI-based smart cards and tokens, this client supports secure remote access and Windows domain logins. It empowers organizations to establish robust trust in user identities and provides an array of customizable settings and optimization tools. Features include the ability to choose responders based on Certificate Authority and configure backup responders to ensure continuous availability. With the ActivID Validation Client, organizations can effectively deploy PKI validation across both Windows desktop and server environments.
