HID Agent Administration Guide for End-Customer

Introduction

This guide explains how End-Customer Admins can configure and manage HIS Integrations using HIS Agent Admin Portal. HIS End-Customer instances and End-Customer Admins are created by Partner Admins using IAM Customer Central portal. End-Customer Admins are typically part of End-Customer's IT team or may be part of partner's or integrator's professional services team. They are responsible for configuring and setting up HIS agents and making sure they remain connected with end systems like PACS.

Prerequisites

  • End-Customer admin is successfully onboarded by partner admin with the required agent subscription.

  • They can log into the HIS Agent Admin Portal using the credentials in welcome email. If end-customer admins are already administering other instances on HIS, they may log in using the link provided in the email along with their existing credentials.

  • End-Customer Admins need to know details on PACS infrastructure and local topology where agent is being installed and require understanding of IT systems and networks. For example, they need privileges and knowledge on local environments

    • to evaluate internet availability,

    • configuring firewall rules for outgoing traffic,

    • determining the need for protocols like TLS/MTLS for secure communication,

    • to configure and run docker on the end-customer environment using IT approved docker hosting software

  • A Docker is configured within the end-customer environment to host the HIS on-premises agent.

    • the docker hosts the HIS on-premises agent that interacts with the PACS software.

    • It is essential that this environment has internet connectivity.

    • Docker uses secure HTTPS connection to connect to HIS infrastructure.
