Workflow 3: Generating an OTP with a Crescendo Key
The Crescendo Management Tool can be used to generate OTP codes using Slots configured for either TOTP or HOTP algorithm types. OTPs can be generated using the interface (by clicking the Generate button in the appropriate Slot) or outside of the Crescendo Management Tool by pressing the physical hardware button on the Crescendo Key device after clicking in any field.
To generate OTPs, you must first configure a Slot with the desired OTP type. Please see Workflow 2: Configuring a Crescendo Key for HOTP or TOTP for more information on configuring Slots.
Note: We can generate OTPs for a Crescendo Key or a 2300 SmartCard in contact or contactless mode.
